Custom domain for link-in-bio: complete guide

How to use your own domain (mysite.com) for your link-in-bio. DNS configuration, Vercel and best practices.

Why a custom domain?

A custom domain strengthens your brand. Instead of linkfan.me/u/your-name, you have mylinks.com.

Benefits:

  • 100% white-label
  • Memorable
  • Professional
  • SEO (your domain, your authority)

Setup in 3 steps

1. Add the domain in LinkFan

In Profile → Domains, add your domain (e.g., mylinks.com).

2. Configure DNS

At your registrar (Namecheap, GoDaddy, Cloudflare...), add a CNAME record:

Type: CNAME
Host: @
Value: cname.vercel-dns.com

3. Wait for propagation

SSL is automatically provisioned by Vercel. Allow 5 to 30 minutes depending on your registrar.

Multiple domains

With LinkFan Pro, you can connect up to 3 different domains. Each link can be associated with a specific domain.

Best practices

  • Use a short domain (max 15 characters)
  • Enable www → non-www redirect
  • Verify SSL after setup

Conclusion

A custom domain turns your link-in-bio into a true branded tool. With LinkFan Pro, it's included and automatic.
